Dr. Nancy Johnson holds a Ph.D. in organization and management, with a specialization in leadership from Capella University, and a master’s in business administration from the California State University system. Dr. Johnson's research focuses on generational cohorts, conflict management, and leadership in healthcare.
In addition to her formal education, she has also been active in the business community providing leadership training for global companies (IKEA, Nestle, Grimmway Farms, First Group America, Kern Schools Federal Credit Union), and as a small business owner that provided services internationally (Kiewit, Granite Construction, Skanska USA, Chevron) for the past 20 years.
Dr. Johnson is a well-respected college professor, having taught at Bakersfield College and Cerro Coso Community College for approximately six years, and lead professor for the University of Phoenix Central Valley campus for 14 years. She teaches courses in strategic management, leadership, marketing, and organizational behavior.
In addition to her teaching roles, Dr. Johnson was the Associate Administrator for Business Development at Delano Regional Medical Center (156 bed rural hospital), where she increased patient satisfaction by 21%, and was the Director of the Workplace Learning Resource Center at the Kern Community College District. In this role Dr. Johnson managed over $750,000 in grant funding to develop occupational and vocational programs for disadvantaged populations.
Dr. Jim Stallings is a 20 year Air Force Veteran, and has been an executive in private industry in both the logistics and transportation fields. He holds a PhD. in organization and management, with a specialization in leadership from Capella University, and a master's degree in business administration from Webster University. Dr. Stallings' research focuses on change management and understanding change in the transportation industry.
In private industry, Dr. Stallings was the national Director for Quality and Leadership Development for First Group America. In that role, he oversaw the quality assessment and leadership development for First Student, the largest provider of student transportation in North America, and First Transit, one of the largest U.S. private sector public transit management and contracting companies. He also served as the Logistics Safety Manager for Frito-Lay North America and directly managed the safety program to reach over 400 days injury free for the first time in 20 years of operation.
Dr. Stallings is also a notable and beloved college professor, having taught at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, University of Phoenix, and Antelope Valley College. He teaches courses in strategic and operations management; organizational behavior; leadership; project management; commercial aviation safety; industrial safety and health; and, accident investigation.
